Starting with a non-official reception in Fairmont Chateau Laurie Ballroom on March 25th under the theme "Partners, Progress and Prospects", the 2007 Canada-Russia Business Summit promoted business-to-business dialogue through a meeting of the Canada-Russia Business Council co-chaired by CERBA and RSPP, and included a full session of the Canada-Russia Intergovernmental Economic Commission co-chaired by Canadian Minister David Emerson and Russian Minister Aleksei Gordeyev.  In addition concurrent sectoral sessions were held the morning of March 26th to provide a further opportunity for companies and officials to discuss specific issues and opportunities.

The CRBC committees met as part of the Summit - Energy, Mining & Metallurgy, Transportation, and Telecommunications. It is also set as a plan to launch the new Agriculture Committee.
